Jason graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Studies in hopes to return to the family farm. During his time at Iowa State, Jason interned with NK Seeds, which would later turn into a seed dealership that would allow him to farm as well. Over the last 20 years Jason has expanded his seed line up, and become a full line ag retailer that offers chemicals, seed treatment, fertilizer, custom application, and precision farming.
Rod holds an associates degree in Automotive Technology from Des Moines Area Community College. Prior to joining the Opheim Seed & Chemical team, Rod worked as a mechanic for John Deere. Rod leads the Precision Farming division, where he is in charge of sales, service and installation of Precision Planting, 360 Yield Center, and Climate Fieldview equipment and programs.
After graduating from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Agricultural Technology, Holden joined the Opheim Seed & Chemical team as the Warehouse Manager. Holden's primary responsibility is managing the logistics of all incoming and outgoing seed and chemical loads. Other responsibilities that Holden is involved in include seed treatment, tending during custom application, and hauling grain.
In 2012, Opheim Seed & Chemical expanded their services by adding Opheim Custom Spraying. Chad joined the Opheim Custom Spraying division as our custom applicator. Chad spent time as a custom applicator in the cooperative system for several years. In addition to his custom application duties, Chad handles all deliveries, hauls grain, and helps with seed treatment.
Currently attending Iowa Central Community College and studying in Agricultural Studies, Jack has been a farm hand during the busy seasons at Opheim Seed and Chemical. Jack's primary responsibilities are running the OS&C website, creating presentations for any upcoming events, and running any other technological equipment when needed. Other responsibilities that Jack is involved in include hauling grain and helping in the warehouse.
